A woman was arrested Sunday, March 8, after allegedly firing multiple shots at singer Rihanna’s Beverly Crest home.
The incident happened around 1:21 p.m. at a house in the 9500 block of Heather Road. Police said an unidentified woman drove to the property and fired several rounds.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) reported that the suspect fired seven to nine rounds from an AR-15-style rifle, four of which struck the house. Investigators were seen looking at an Airstream trailer parked in the driveway.
According to police, the suspect, a 30-year-old woman, stopped in her car outside the home and fired seven shots before speeding away.
Her vehicle was located about eight miles (12km) away from the singer’s home, where the woman was taken into custody. She has not yet been publicly identified.
The LAPD confirmed that Rihanna was home at the time of the shooting, but no injuries were reported. The suspect was taken into custody.
The department said that investigators from its Robbery-Homicide Division will handle the case.
