We Have Decided to Share the Ocean With Iran, We Have Given Them the Bottom Half – Pete Hegseth

According to Fox News, in a blunt assessment of the ongoing conflict, Pete Hegseth remarked that leadership roles within Iran’s paramilitary forces have become highly undesirable due to the risks involved.

He stated, “The last job anyone in the world wants right now—senior leader for the IRGC or Basij. Temp jobs, all of them.”

This comment underscores the instability and danger surrounding top positions in groups like the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Basij, which have reportedly faced sustained targeting during the war.

Hegseth further used a historical analogy to emphasize the extent of U.S. military dominance at sea.

Referencing Ernest King, he said, “To borrow a page from Admiral Ernest King in World War Two, we’ve decided to share the ocean with Iran. We’ve given them the bottom half.”

The remark suggests that Iranian naval forces have suffered severe losses, with many of their vessels reportedly destroyed or sunk during the conflict.
