“We Eliminated 12 of their Top Nuclear Scientists, Struck their Nuclear Facilities – Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed that Israel conducted a series of coordinated strikes targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure and personnel, describing the operations as part of a broader effort to prevent Tehran from developing nuclear weapons.

The remarks were made during an interview broadcast on IsraeliPM, where Netanyahu discussed what he called “historic achievements” in Israel’s ongoing regional security campaign.

The statement, “We eliminated 12 of their top nuclear scientists, struck their nuclear facilities – Benjamin Netanyahu”, was presented as part of his account of Israeli actions aimed at disrupting Iran’s nuclear programme and missile development capabilities.

Netanyahu said Israel acted on what he described as precise intelligence indicating that Iran was advancing efforts to convert enriched uranium into weapons-grade material. He claimed that this prompted immediate military responses, including targeted operations against key figures and infrastructure linked to Iran’s nuclear research and production systems.

According to the prime minister, the strikes were carried out in coordination with international partners, including the United States, and were intended to slow or halt what he described as Iran’s rapid progress toward nuclear weapons capability. He added that the operations also extended to missile production sites and storage facilities.

He further stated that additional intelligence later indicated renewed Iranian efforts to rebuild underground nuclear and missile programmes, which led to further strikes on related infrastructure and personnel. Netanyahu claimed these actions significantly degraded Iran’s enrichment capacity and disrupted its broader weapons development systems.

Beyond Iran, Netanyahu used the interview to describe Israel’s wider regional military posture, including ongoing operations in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria. He said Israel had intensified pressure on armed groups aligned with Iran and weakened their operational capabilities.

The prime minister also suggested that these developments have shifted regional dynamics, arguing that Israel’s military actions have strengthened deterrence and increased diplomatic engagement from other countries in the region.

Netanyahu concluded by emphasizing that Israel’s security campaign is still ongoing, warning that further operations may be necessary depending on evolving threats.
