A young Nigerian lady described her tragic experience of being deceived by her boyfriend after wiring ₦6.5 million to his bank account.

The lady, identified with the TikTok handle @mimi, raised the money by selling land inherited from her late mother.

In her message, she mentioned that after selling the land, her boyfriend of 3 years proposed spending the money to prepare for his abroad visa. She obliged out of love for him.

The lady, who has six siblings, sold the land due to financial troubles.

However, they proceeded to the bank and deposited the money to her boyfriend’s account. He gave her ₦150,000 to buy food for her siblings.

‎”He made a transfer from my account to his account and gave me N150k to use and buy foodstuffs for my siblings”,

Eventually, her boyfriend’s close friends informed her that he had lied her about travelling abroad and showed her a photo of himself with his ex-girlfriend.

‎”He claimed to broke up with 3 years ago before we met. At this point I didn’t even dissapoint myself but my late mum will not be happy with me and my siblings”, The lady stated while emphasizing her regret over the decision.
