Cubana Chief Priest, a Nigerian socialite and bartender, has responded fiercely to the uproar after his outspoken support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 election.
Taking to Instagram, the star bartender responded to critics who accused him of forsaking his tribe because of his political views.
“If an Igbo man supporting Tinubu is a betrayal, what is a Yoruba man supporting Obi? We can only be Nigerians for us to prosper in Nigeria,” he wrote.
He emphasised that politics should not be motivated by tribalism, emphasising the importance of strategic alignment in the country’s political landscape.

According to him, President Tinubu is “20 steps ahead” and has shown patience by waiting eight years after backing previous President Muhammadu Buhari to win the president.
“Tinubu SERVED! Leaving Tinubu to support any other candidate is like not looking both ways before crossing the road. Follow who know road, stay with person who gets structure so that you sef fit tap in,” he added.
The Chief Priest further remarked that protests, sit-at-home orders, and persistent criticism had not generated major outcomes, implying that, “if you can’t beat them, join them.”
His statements come just a day after he posted a video of buses allegedly provided by Igbo businesspeople to help Tinubu’s re-election campaign.
Prior to this, the nightlife entrepreneur engaged in a heated online debate with socialite Isaac Fayose, during which he attacked some South-East political elites, accusing them of being self-centred and motivated by personal interests.
Cubana reiterated that their goal is to deliver Tinubu and make him the chosen candidate in the South-East, while adding that removing him from power is impossible.
