A married man has generated reactions online after revealing that his wife threatened to end their marriage after discovering that he had secretly conducted a DNA test on their newborn daughter.

The story was shared anonymously on X (formerly Twitter) through @Ruky_Baby27, where the man explained the circumstances that led him to make the decision without informing his wife.

According to him, his concerns began during his wife’s pregnancy when he noticed what he described as changes in her behavior.

He alleged that she became emotionally distant and increasingly protective of her phone, developments that made him suspicious and uncomfortable.

The revelation has since sparked debate on social media, with users expressing differing views on trust, paternity testing, and transparency within marriage.

“My wife gave birth to our baby girl three days ago and instead of enjoying fatherhood peacefully, I secretly did a DNA test behind her back,” he wrote.

He added that pressure from friends also contributed to his fears.

“…my friends kept putting fear in my head with stories of men raising children that were not theirs. I tried ignoring it, but the doubt kept eating me alive.”

“I stayed with her throughout labour. I watched her scream in pain for hours. I held her hand, prayed for her, and almost cried when our daughter was born.”
