As the Nigerian Super Falcons get ready for a pre-WAFCON 2026 double-tie friendly against Cameroon in Yaoundé, no fewer than eleven players have reported to camp.

Captain Rasheedat Ajibade is in charge of the early arrivals. Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene, Glory Ogbonna, Gift Monday, Joy Omewa, Tosin Demehin, Christy Ucheibe, Esther Onyenezide, Fatima Oloko, Precious Christopher, and Favour Nkwocha are also in camp.

The team’s first practice is set for Wednesday at 4:30 p.m., and more players are anticipated to report to camp in the days ahead.

Before wrapping up the two-match series on Tuesday, March 3, Nigeria will play Cameroon in the first friendly on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

The games are a part of Morocco’s preparations for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in 2026.

After defeating the host country, Morocco, in the final, the Super Falcons won a record-extending 10th continental title in the previous edition, which they hope to defend.

Nigeria will play Egypt, Malawi, and Zambia in Group C.

In the meanwhile, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Ghana, and Mali have all been assigned to Group D.

The Indomitable Lionesses, who have been second three times before, are still vying for their first WAFCON championship.

Starting on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, and ending on Friday, April 3, 2026, is the continental tournament.
