As part of the celebrations for America’s 250th anniversary, the US Department of State has revealed plans to issue a limited-edition commemorative passport featuring a photo of Donald Trump.

The special passport is expected to include his likeness, making him the first sitting US president to appear on an American passport design.

According to officials, just 25,000 to 30,000 commemorative passports will be made.

The special edition is likely to be available shortly before July 4 at the Washington passport office.

Authorities stated that applicants visiting the office in person may acquire the commemorative edition by default, although regular passports will still be accessible through alternative application methods.

Officials said that the commemorative passport will include the same security features as ordinary US passports while also incorporating unique artistic aspects.

According to reports, Trump’s likeness will feature on one of the inside pages, along with a gilded replica of his signature.

The passport is also slated to include a revised cover with bold gold lettering, a gold laminated American flag, and a “250” insignia to commemorate the country’s anniversary.

A State Department official stated that the project was created to commemorate a significant milestone in American history.

According to the official, the new design aimed to combine national tradition with a contemporary presentation that reflected the significance of the 250th anniversary.

According to the spokeswoman, the commemorative edition is part of a larger series of anniversary-related efforts planned across the country.

Historically, US passports have depicted historic locations and former American presidents like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

However, live presidents have not generally appeared in official passport designs, thus Trump’s presence marks a significant departure from previous practice.

According to reports, negotiations are also taking place regarding putting Trump’s image on commemorative banknotes and coins associated with the occasion.

Although no official confirmation has been provided, the claimed plans have continued to garner public attention.
