The Edo State Police Command has arrested a suspect in connection with the k!ling of a 30-year-old interior and event decorator, Esohe Aigbe, in Benin City.

According to her relatives, Aigbe had visited a funeral venue on Ujo Street in the Ogida area of the state capital to offer free decoration services as her contribution to a friend’s event.

Reports indicate that she was att@cked by unidentified individuals shortly after completing the decoration work. She was rushed to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital with severe injuries but later d!ed from her wounds.

Police spokesperson Eno Ikoedem confirmed the incident, revealing that preliminary investigations have linked a suspect identified as Faith to the crime.

The suspect has since been transferred to the H0micide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation, while efforts are ongoing to locate and arrest other individuals believed to have been involved in the att@ck.
