Tinubu Has Delivered Hardship, Insecurity – Tambuwal

According to a report by Daily Trust on Saturday, April 11, 2026, former Sokoto State governor and senator, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has criticised the administration of Bola Tinubu, accusing it of worsening insecurity, poverty, and economic hardship across the country.

Tambuwal made the remarks on Saturday while speaking at the state congress of the African Democratic Congress in Sokoto, where party members and delegates gathered to conclude internal political processes and discuss the direction of the party at the state level.

The event brought together political stakeholders from different parts of Sokoto State, where discussions centred on party organization, leadership structure, and preparations for future political activities.

Tambuwal used the occasion to express his views on the state of governance in the country, stating that the current administration has not met public expectations in key areas affecting citizens’ welfare.

He said the challenges facing Nigerians have continued to increase, particularly in relation to security and economic stability, which he described as major concerns affecting daily life across different regions.

During his address to delegates, Tambuwal stated that many citizens are currently experiencing rising levels of hardship, including increased cost of living and limited access to basic needs.

He pointed to insecurity as one of the most pressing issues, noting that communities in different parts of the country continue to face threats that affect their safety and livelihoods.

He also highlighted poverty and hunger as growing challenges that have placed pressure on households, especially in rural and low-income areas where economic conditions are already difficult.

Tambuwal further stated that public assessment of government performance is based on visible outcomes and lived experiences of citizens.

He noted that expectations placed on any administration include the ability to improve security, strengthen the economy, and provide relief to struggling populations.

According to him, many Nigerians are evaluating the current government based on these factors, especially as economic conditions continue to shape daily realities.

His remarks focused on what he described as a gap between expectations and outcomes in governance delivery.

He said, “I believe Nigerians have seen for themselves what Bola Ahmed Tinubu can deliver, if at all anything has been delivered. This administration has only brought more insecurity, poverty, and hunger.”
