Three suspects have been detained in Mowe by men from the Ogun State Police Command on suspicion of conspiracy and illegal possession of a human $kull.

This was said in a statement issued by DSP Babaseyi Oluseyi, the spokesperson for the state police command. He stated that on January 8, 2026, the suspects were captured.

“The Ogun State Police Command has arrested three suspects in Mowe for conspiracy and unlawful possession of a human $kull on January 8, 2026,” Oluseyi said

The suspects have been moved to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department in Eleweran, Abeokuta, for additional investigation, according to the police spokesperson.

“The suspects have been transferred to SCIID, Eleweran, Abeokuta, for further investigation,” he added.

The source of the $kull and the degree of the suspects’ involvement in the alleged crime are still being investigated, according to Babaseyi.
