Internet personality Oyemkke has cautioned Nigerians against demanding that South African singer Tyla be prevented from performing in Nigeria, warning that such actions could have unintended consequences for Nigerians living and doing business in South Africa.

His remarks come amid ongoing debate over whether Nigerians should boycott Tyla’s proposed concert following criticism of her alleged silence during xenophobic attacks against Nigerians and other foreign nationals in South Africa.

According to Oyemkke, those who disagree with the singer’s perceived stance should express their views by refusing to buy tickets or attend the concert rather than calling for her to be barred from entering Nigeria.

He argued that calls to cancel the performance could escalate tensions and potentially affect Nigerians residing or conducting business in South Africa.
