A Nigerian lady reacted to Tony Elumelu’s viral video, recounting a similar occurrence with her mother in childhood.

Tony Elumelu recently made headlines for his fast response to a young lady who addressed him by his first name.

The lady known as @uggyofficial on X revealed that her mother saw the viral video of Tony Elumelu at UBA’s Graduate Management Accelerated Program graduation ceremony.

Afterward, she shared a similar story from her childhood.

Until one of her mother’s uncles graduated from university, everyone in the family was addressed by their first names.

Upon returning home, he told all family members to address him differently than others. Despite the humour, he took the orders seriously.

As directed, each time he called them, they would approach him before responding.

Although it took weeks, all family members eventually followed the suggestion.

Earlier, an anonymous Nigerian guy praised Tony Elumelu for quickly correcting the lady who addressed him by his first name.

Moreover, the response impressed him.
The man, who watched the footage again, questioned the lady’s actions during the event.
