“The girl you called a thing and denied is now in JSS1” — Mother celebrates daughter’s academic success, sends message to ex

A Nigerian woman, Jennifer Chisom, has celebrated her daughter’s academic achievement while addressing her former partner, whom she accused of rejecting the child when she was younger.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, the proud mother claimed that her ex-partner, Chinwendu Christopher Dike, dismissed their daughter as a “thing” and denied her.

According to Jennifer, the child has now passed all her admission examinations and gained admission into JSS1 at what she described as one of the best colleges in Lagos State.

Jennifer, who appeared determined to highlight how far her daughter had come, repeatedly addressed her former partner in the post.

She wrote:

“Dear CHINWENDU CHRISTOPHER DIKE … the girl you called a thing and denied is now in JSS1,” she wrote.

“Dear CHINWENDU CHRISTOPHER DIKE.. the girl you called a thing and denied passed all her admission exams.

“Dear CHINWENDU CHRISTOPHER DIKE … the girl you called a thing and denied is now schooling in one of the best college in Lagos state which you can’t afford the fees.

“Dear CHINWENDU CHRISTOPHER DIKE … the girl you called a thing and denied is now leaving a life you couldn’t have afford to give her

“Dear CHINWENDU CHRISTOPHER DIKE … the girl you called a thing and denied is a well behaved child with exceptional wisdom.

“Dear CHINWENDU CHRISTOPHER DIKE … the girl you called a thing and denied keeps making me proud

“Dear, CHINWENDU CHRISTOPHER DIKE … the girl you called a thing and denied has gown to become a child you can only imagine but can’t have.”

‘I will always be proud of you’

Jennifer also shared an emotional message to her daughter, Stephanie Chamberlain, as she begins a new chapter of her education.

She wrote:

“My baby.. Stephanie chamberlain as you step into this new chapter, may God guide your steps, protect you and grant you wisdom, favour and excellence.. you will keep growing into a beautiful, smart and confident child.

“GO FORTH MY PRECIOUS DAUGHTER I AM AND WILL ALWAYS BE PROUD OF YOU!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH STEPH..”

The mother’s post has drawn attention online, with many people celebrating the girl’s academic progress and reacting to Jennifer’s message to her former partner.
