“The bullet struck exactly where she was sleeping” – Nigerian doctor recalls sister’s miraculous escape from d3ath

A Nigerian doctor, identified as Dr Tolu, has recounted a remarkable childhood incident involving his younger sister, who he said narrowly escaped being hit by a stray bull3t about 26 years ago.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Dr Tolu recalled that his six-month-old sister was sleeping in their parents’ bedroom when she suddenly began crying loudly.

According to the doctor, the eldest child quickly picked up the baby and carried her out of the room.

He said that just a few minutes later, the family heard a loud sound that shook their flat.

He recalled:

“We rushed into the bedroom. And there, on the exact spot where my sister had been lying was a bullet. The bullet had pierced through multiple layers of the roof and struck the bed. Exactly where she had been sleeping.”

Dr Tolu said the family never discovered where the bull3t came from, adding that there had been no known robbery, gunfight or other obvious incident that could explain how it entered the house.

“I Believe God Got Our Attention”

The doctor said the incident left him wondering why his sister had suddenly started crying at that particular moment and why she stopped shortly after being carried out of the room.

He said:

“I can’t prove why she cried that day. I can only tell you what I believe. I believe God got our attention,” he added.

Dr Tolu acknowledged that his medical training has taught him to look for logical explanations and establish cause-and-effect relationships. However, he said the childhood experience remains difficult for him to fully explain.

The story has sparked discussions about divine intervention, coincidence and the unexplained events that can dramatically change the course of a person’s life.

He concluded by reflecting that sometimes the greatest miracles may not be the things that happen, but the tragedies that almost happen and somehow never do.
