A Nigerian businesswoman, Ijeoma Chinonyerem, has sparked widespread reactions after urging mothers to teach their daughters how to protect themselves from sexual predators.

In a Facebook post, Chinonyerem argued that repeatedly pleading with men not to √@pe women has not been effective. She therefore encouraged mothers to focus on equipping their daughters with practical safety measures to reduce their risk of becoming victims.

According to her, girls should be taught to be street-smart, stay alert, and understand the dangers that exist in society.

She also advised mothers to warn their daughters against visiting men in private places, regardless of how kind, innocent, or trustworthy they may appear.

Expressing her opinion, she further wrote:

“It is all men, all men are potential r@p!sts. Teach it to your child. Women are too trusting. We have no right to be this trusting.”

Her comments come in the wake of the tragic death of a young woman who reportedly died by su!cide after alleging she was √@ped when she visited a content creator who had promised to teach her how to create viral content.

While her advice has generated significant discussion online, her statement that “all men are potential r@p!sts” reflects her personal opinion and has been met with both support and criticism.
