Victor Osimhen, a striker for the Super Eagles and Galatasaray, has reportedly made the decision to stay longer in the hospital after undergoing arm surgery.
After suffering an arm injury during a Champions League match against Liverpool earlier this month, the Nigerian international had surgery last Monday morning.
The striker personally asked to stay under medical supervision, according to Turkish journalist Haluk Yürekli, despite initial plans that he would be released the next day.
According to Yürekli, Osimhen informed club officials of his preference to continue treatment in the hospital, believing it would aid a faster recovery. The request was granted, with tight security reportedly maintained around his room during his stay.
“He did not want to be discharged immediately and asked for his care to continue in hospital so he could return sooner,” Yürekli stated, noting that even close family members had restricted access during the recovery period.
