The Nigeria Football Federation has stated that the Super Eagles will begin training camp on March 24, 2026, in Antalya, Turkey, ahead of this month’s international matches.
The training camp is part of the preparations for a four-nation invitational tournament that was moved from Jordan owing to security concerns in the Middle East.
Nigeria will face Iran on March 27 before playing Jordan on March 31.
Both games are billed as strategic test games aimed at honing the squad ahead of upcoming competitive assignments, including qualifications for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
Eric Chelle, the head coach, has taken a hybrid approach to selecting players, combining veteran internationals with rising talent.
Emmanuel Fernandez, Philip Otele, and Collins Yira Sor have been called up, indicating a desire to strengthen the squad and introduce new players.
Established stars like Maduka Okoye, Calvin Bassey, Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze, and Ademola Lookman continue to play important roles in the squad.
Their involvement ensures continuity while allowing the coaching staff to assess newcomers within a solid framework.
