“Stop Using Us For Your Sick Agendas, Leave Us Alone” – Qatari Minister Hits Trump and Netanyahu

According to a report by Anadolu Agency on Sunday, March 22, 2026, Qatar’s Minister of Education and Higher Education, Lolwah Al-Khater, has issued a forceful statement rejecting what she described as external interference and narratives imposed by foreign leaders amid ongoing regional tensions.

Al‑Khater said in a message posted on X that external powers should not speak on behalf of Qatar or use its people and region to justify their own agendas. She said such actions have no place in the future the people of the Middle East seek.

“STOP talking on our behalf. STOP using us as an excuse for your sick destructive agendas. STOP your baseless claims that you want to liberate us. No one needs you to liberate them, we just need you to leave us alone,” Al‑Khater wrote in the post.

She highlighted that Qatar and its people do not want foreign powers to act as their supposed liberators or representatives in global matters. Al‑Khater also highlighted that the world is not a scripted scene and emphasised the real consequences of conflict beyond political rhetoric.

“It’s not our fault that you failed in school and received your education from Hollywood movies — the world is not a movie,” she said, urging an end to foreign justifications for conflict and intervention.

Her remarks reflect broader unease among some Gulf leaders and publics regarding external involvement in the Middle East, particularly amid current hostilities involving the United States, Israel, and Iran that have drawn significant regional concern.

Officials in Washington and Jerusalem have not issued an immediate response to Al‑Khater’s comments.
