Stella Damasus, a Nollywood actress, has revealed the three attributes she will never compromise on when picking a possible mate for her daughter.

Stella noted during a talk with her daughter on Pulse TV that any man interested in her daughter must really appreciate her and have the financial means to support both of them.

According to the actress, discipline is also necessary because love for God alone is insufficient to maintain a relationship without self-control.

“One: he has to fully respect you. He has to be obsessed with you. Very much so. Secondly, he has to have more than enough to take care of not just himself, but of you too. Three: he has to be disciplined. Very disciplined,” she said.

Stella went on to say that although many people would prefer a partner who both loves and fears God, she believes that mental and physical discipline are equally crucial.

These attributes, according to the mother of two, would help guarantee that her daughter has a stable and responsible partner.

“It’s easy to say, ‘I want him to love God, I want him to fear God.’ I want him to have all of that, but without self-discipline, without discipline of mind, body, everything, everything will scatter. So those three things, I’m big on those three things,” she added.

The actress went on to say that she also values appearance, pointing out that a prospective suitor for her daughter ought to be attractive.

Her remarks have emphasised the traits she believes are crucial in a man who wants to develop a relationship with her daughter, namely discipline, respect, and financial security.
