Within a week of the tragic collisions in Adamuz and Barcelona, Spain experienced yet another train accident.

Today, January 22, a commuter train collided with a crane in southeast Spain in the most recent incident.

According to state broadcaster TVE, several people have been injured, at least one of them critically.

Adif, the Spanish rail operator, sounded the alarm, stating that “the intrusion into the infrastructure gauge by a crane not belonging to the railway operation” had caused services to stop. However, it did not provide any additional information.

According to RTVE, the emergency services treated three people with anxiety and one for minor cuts.

Following a string of d£•dly train accidents this week, Spain is in shock.

On Sunday, January 18, two trains collided in Adamuz, resulting in 41 fatalities and 123 injuries.

Then, on Tuesday, January 20, a commuter service derailed after colliding with a fragment of a fallen retainer wall in the vicinity of Barcelona, k!lling the driver and injuring 37 others.
