Nigerian music executive Soso Soberekon has broken his silence following the viral outrage that preceded Davido’s absence from his star-studded wedding in Warri, Delta State.

The entertainment promoter, who recently married his wife, Princess Ebiere, became a trending topic after fans noted that Davido, a longtime friend and associate, was absent from the opulent event.

Following the wedding, social media fans questioned why the artist neither attended the event nor publicly honoured Soso on social media.

The controversy worsened after media personality Ossai Ovie Success and former Big Brother Naija housemate DeeOne attacked Davido over his absence.

Reacting in a post uploaded on social media, Soso expressed gratitude to everyone who attended and cherished the momentous day with him and his wife.

“My heart is overflowing with gratitude,” he wrote.

He added that the wedding was full of love, happiness, and priceless memories, and that it was everything they had dreamed for.

In response to the ongoing controversy, Soso asked people to disregard disparaging remarks made about the wedding.

“Please ignore every negativity as we embrace love here,” he wrote.

He added: “Finally, let me say this clearly: No one speaks for me. I speak for myself.”
