A Nigerian woman, Bertha Uche Nnaji, has stirred reactions on social media after accusing some of the people congratulating her on her recent traditional wedding of playing a role in the collapse of her first marriage.

Nnaji, who recently remarried, made the allegation in a Facebook post on Sunday, July 12, 2026, shortly after sharing photos from her traditional marriage ceremony.

“Some of you congratulating me destroyed my first marriage. Some of you congratulating me hate me. Wait for Amadioha,” she wrote.
