Fresh controversy has emerged within the family of the late Nigerian diplomat, Demola Seriki, after his third wife, Mrs. Sholape Seriki, publicly accused her co-wife, Alhaja Wosilat Okoya Seriki, of attempting to take control of his estate.

In an emotional video shared online, Sholape said she had initially chosen to remain silent but decided to speak out after receiving a court summons from Wosilat over the ownership of one of the late diplomat’s vehicles.

She alleged that Wosilat had ignored Demola Seriki’s wishes, withheld properties and assets intended for her children, and was attempting to take possession of the entire estate.

Sholape further claimed that documents relating to some of the late diplomat’s properties and vehicles were altered after his death.

Maintaining that she has evidence to support her allegations, she called on her late husband to “judge the matter spiritually” and insisted that his estate should be shared among all of his children.

The allegations reflect Sholape Seriki’s account of the dispute. No court has ruled on the claims, and Wosilat Okoya Seriki’s response was not included in the account.
