Nigerian comedian Mazi Okeke has shared fresh details about the heartbreaking betrayal that ended his engagement, revealing the reason his ex-fiancée gave after he caught her cheating with his driver.

Speaking in a recent video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the comedian recounted how he unexpectedly returned from a work trip and discovered his fiancée with his driver, describing the moment as one of the most painful experiences of his life.

Recalling the incident, he said:

“This is how I discovered my fiancée was cheating with my driver. I was coming back from a site that day, and I caught them. What broke me the most was when I asked her why.”

According to Mazi Okeke, his former fiancée claimed that his demanding work schedule left her feeling lonely and neglected because he spent most of his time travelling for business.

He revealed that she compared him to her ex-boyfriend, whom she described as someone who was always available and spent more time with her.

The comedian added that the affair allegedly began while he was in China for a month sourcing goods for his company.

“She said I’m too busy. I’m always travelling from one state to another. Her ex was always with her, but I was never around. She said I should cut down on my dreams because I don’t give her attention. It all started when I went to China for one month. What baffles me is that there was no remorse,” he said.

Mazi Okeke had previously opened up about the financial and personal sacrifices he made throughout the relationship, saying he gave his all but still lost the woman he planned to marry.

His latest revelation has sparked mixed reactions online, with many social media users debating whether a demanding career can ever justify infidelity in a relationship.
