This Christmas, Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan provided her residents with seasonal relief by delivering over 2,000 bags of rice and various relief supplies around the district’s five local government areas.
The distribution, which took place concurrently in Adavi, Ajaokuta, Okene, Okehi, and Ogori-Magongo, was intended to alleviate the strain of growing food costs and guarantee that families may honourably celebrate the season.
The campaign targeted religious organisations, youth organisations, women’s associations, the elderly, and other vulnerable populations, according to her media assistant, Mike Idoko.
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan stressed during the outreach that effective leadership must result in noticeable advancements for the populace.
“Christmas is a season of love, sacrifice, and shared joy. This rice distribution is to ensure families across Kogi Central can celebrate without hardship,” she said.
The exercise, which was overseen by community leaders, was praised as one of the biggest Christmas palliatives in the region.
This joyous endeavour is one of the senator’s many constituency projects, which also include water projects, solar-powered infrastructure, healthcare upgrades, and youth and women’s empowerment initiatives.
Recipients conveyed their appreciation, characterising the action as appropriate and indicative of a people-centered leadership style.
