Nigerian comedian and actor Bovi has sparked reactions online after humorously advising people to avoid doing business with anyone who believes Cristiano Ronaldo is a better footballer than Lionel Messi.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Bovi suggested that a person’s stance in the long-running Messi-Ronaldo debate could reveal how they think and make decisions in real life.

According to him, there is nothing wrong with preferring Ronaldo or even considering him the greatest footballer of all time. However, he argued that the conversation changes when discussing who is the better footballer.

He said:

“If you’re going into business with someone you don’t know very well, ask them who the better footballer is between Ronaldo and Messi. If they tell you Ronaldo is the better footballer, pick up your shoes and run.”

His lighthearted remark has since generated mixed reactions online, with fans of both football icons defending their favourites while others viewed the comment as nothing more than playful banter.
