Queen Camilla ignores questions at royal outing about ex-Prince Andrew

Queen Camilla continued her royal engagements on Thursday, January 19, just hours after her brother-in-law, Prince Andrew, was arrested.

The Queen was photographed leaving Sinfonia Smith Square Hall in London, where she is a patron. During her visit, she met with musicians and attended a concert as part of her royal duties. According to reports, Camilla was questioned about Andrew’s arrest but declined to comment.

Thames Valley Police officers arrested Andrew earlier that day at his home on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The arrest occurred on his 66th birthday and comes after an anti-royal campaign group urged authorities to investigate whether he shared confidential British financial information with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in 2010.

In a statement issued later on Thursday, February 19, King Charles III addressed the development, stating that the situation should be handled legally. However, when the King appeared in public for a separate event, he did not respond to reporters’ questions about his brother’s arrest.

Andrew has long faced scrutiny over his association with Epstein, who was accused of s3xually abusing underage girls. His name appears in documents commonly referred to as the Epstein Files, which were released by the US Department of Justice after legislation mandated their publication.

Police have confirmed that Andrew was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He has previously denied wrongdoing in connection with his past associations.
