The Nigerian content creation community has been thrown into mourning following the sudden d+ath of popular TikTok creator Monique Pearls, whose real name was Monica Okafor Owuunaka. She d+ed at the age of 30.

Monique, originally from Cross River State and based in Abuja, was widely known for her emotional and relatable videos centered on motherhood, family life, and caregiving.

A major part of her content also featured a young girl known as Precious, a child her family brought from the village, whose relationship with Monique became a touching and consistent theme in her storytelling.

Her authentic style of content resonated with a large audience across social media, earning her praise for portraying real-life family dynamics in modern Nigerian society.

Her family confirmed her passing in May 2026. She is survived by her husband and young son, Lael.
