Peter Obi Will Humiliate Tinubu and All His Supporters In The SE and Some Part Of South-south —Dele Momodu

African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain and Deputy Director-General of the party’s Presidential Campaign Council, Bashorun Dele Momodu, has expressed confidence in Peter Obi’s political standing in the South-East, predicting that the NDC presidential candidate would defeat Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo in the state. Momodu made the remarks during an interview on Arise Television on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

The ADC chieftain criticised the composition of Tinubu’s cabinet, alleging that most of its members were close associates of the president. He also argued that the challenges facing Nigerians were not limited to any particular ethnic group or geopolitical zone. “Eighty, ninety percent of those you find in Tinubu’s cabinet today are his cronies,” Momodu said.

He added that Yoruba people were experiencing difficulties similar to those faced by Nigerians in other parts of the country. “So the Yorubas are suffering just like the people from the northwest are suffering, the northeast, the north central, the south west, the southeast,” he stated.

Turning his attention to Soludo, Momodu suggested that the Anambra governor could face a significant political challenge from Obi, who previously governed the state. Momodu expressed strong confidence in Obi’s popularity in Anambra. “I can bet my life on it that Peter Obi will humiliate and disgrace Soludo in Anambra State. I have no question about that,” he said.

He described Obi as a highly popular political figure in his home region, particularly in the South-East and South-South. “Oh, Peter Obi is a rock star, where he comes from, especially in the southeast and the south south. I’m supporting Atiku, but I will be very happy when people say, oh, if you people don’t come together, you are going to lose the election,” he said.

Momodu maintained that the political circumstances surrounding the forthcoming election differed from those of previous contests, suggesting that Obi could play a major role in determining the outcome in parts of southern Nigeria. “The scenario is different this time. Peter Obi will humiliate Tinubu and all his supporters in the southeast and some parts of the south south,” Momodu said.
