Kingsley Okonkwo, a relationship counsellor and clergyman, has identified six types of men that women should consciously avoid in real life, warning that ignoring red signs can lead to emotional anguish and regret.

According to him, many women intentionally enter relationships that are fundamentally incompatible, believing that things will improve over time, only to discover later that the warning flags were always present.

“Avoid Mr ‘I want to marry a virgin’ when you are not one,” he said. “And avoid the man who is 52 years old but wants to marry a 22-year-old. Bros, that should be your child’s mate.”

The cleric advised against women falling into financial irresponsibility and empty promises, especially when emotions are involved.

He also emphasised the importance of discipline and cautioned against equating potential with progress.

“Avoid Mr Perpetual — perpetually broke, perpetually begging, and perpetually proud. Avoid Mr Potential — all he has are plans but no action, big dreams but he cannot take small steps.”

He also warned women to be aware of males who crave attention and blame women for their own lack of limits, as well as those who continuously complain about the status of women in society.
