Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, celebrated his 84th birthday with a poignant message of gratitude, attributing his length, strength, and vitality to divine grace.

In a Facebook post shared on Tuesday, read what Adeboye wrote below:

“For 84 years of God’s guidance, strength and grace, join me in thanking the One who has sustained me till this day!”

Thousands of churchgoers, Christian leaders, public celebrities, and admirers from Nigeria and beyond swiftly responded to the post with congratulations.

Many commended the cleric for his decades of spiritual leadership, humility, and consistency, characterising the sermon as a reflection of his lifelong emphasis on faith and thankfulness.

Supporters thanked God for Adeboye’s life and his influence on Christianity in Nigeria and around the world by flooding the comment box with prayers and tributes.

In addition to the personal message of gratitude, RCCG is celebrating Adeboye’s 84th birthday with a number of events, such as a free digital skills empowerment program aimed at 8,400 Nigerians nationwide.

Church officials have characterised the programs as an extension of Adeboye’s dedication to youth empowerment, human capital development, and societal reform, coordinating celebration with service.

With a global ministry reaching more than 190 countries, Pastor Adeboye, who has led RCCG for more than 40 years, continues to be one of Nigeria’s most powerful religious icons.
