A marital incident in a residential compound has aroused discussion when a man reportedly locked his wife outside their flat due to a misunderstanding he believed was related to her clothing and alleged activities with another guy.

The incident, which took place in an unknown Nigerian suburb, grabbed the attention of neighbours and family members before being handled.

According to residents, the husband had previously warned his wife about her practice of wearing a wrapper when leaving their flat and advised her to dress more suitably as a married woman.

Tension reportedly rose when the woman went to a neighbor’s flat to charge her phone and later found her husband returning from night duties.

When the husband saw her, he allegedly rushed into their flat and locked the door, leaving her outside till the evening.

The woman’s parents were later asked to arbitrate the dispute. The husband allegedly accused a man in the compound of making passes on his wife, claiming her outfit confirmed his suspicions.

In response, the woman maintained her innocence, claiming that her clothing was only for ease while travelling around the facility.

The tension rose as the neighbour innocently arrived to return her charger, adding fuel to the fire.
