A man told a tragic tale about a Nigerian who moved to the UK with his family, only to experience an unanticipated change of circumstances months later.
He clarified that the man sold all of his possessions in Nigeria to begin a new life overseas with his wife and kids in a widely shared video on X (previously Twitter).
Read what he said below:
“This man sold his properties in Nigeria and moved his wife and children to the UK. Six months later, the wife left with the children.”
He disclosed that the man was allegedly required to pay £650 a month in child support, which made the situation even more challenging.
The man apparently struggles to cope as a result of the experience’s emotional toll.
“Now he has been mandated to pay £650 every month, and he’s been drinking daily from overthinking,” he added.
Online responses to the tale have been divided, with many Nigerians showing sympathy.
One user wrote, “This is painful to read,” while another advised, “Men should be careful before making such big moves.”
The speaker ended by cautioning men to exercise additional caution before moving their families overseas, pointing out that a single error could ruin long-term plans and hopes.
