Pastor Chris Okafor dares Doris Ogala, VeryDarkMan amid allegations, demands evidence or faces prosecution

Nollywood actress Doris Ogala, social media personality VeryDarkMan (VDM), and other bloggers have received a severe warning from Pastor Chris Okafor’s legal team, threatening to prosecute them if they don’t provide evidence to the Nigerian Police.

Lead Partner at Sovereignty LP Ife Ajayi told reporters in Lagos that the accusations against his client were “false, malicious, and a coordinated campaign of cyberbullying, blackmail, and public incitement.”

Ajayi clarified that the accusations, which reappeared online in December 2025, came from Doris Ogala and were subsequently spread by bloggers without providing Pastor Okafor with an opportunity to respond.

According to him, the problem started in late 2024 after Ogala and a third party engaged in commerce. After determining that the desired result could not be attained, Pastor Okafor withdrew.

Ajayi claims that Ogala then made a false claim that the cleric owed her ₦45 million.

“Each time one allegation failed to gain traction, another followed. It was a systematic attempt to see what would stick,” he said.

Ajayi further disclosed that Ogala had previously been detained and accused of threats, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking. An out-of-court settlement was reached in that case.

“At no point during those proceedings did she allege rape, sexual assault or an affair. Those claims only emerged after the settlement was allegedly breached,” Ajayi stated.

Ogala was arrested and questioned after additional complaints were filed with the police in response to fresh cyberattacks. Ajayi warned that VDM and other online platforms were misusing their power.

“You cannot be the accuser, investigator, prosecutor and judge at the same time. Allegations of rape or murder must be reported to law enforcement.”

He maintained that Doris Ogala, VDM, and other bloggers must legally present their proof to the police and stated that formal criminal complaints had been made against those disseminating the allegations.
