Actor Kunle Remi has expressed regret over the country’s rising insecurity and urged Nigerians not to become numb to human suffering.

In an emotive letter posted online, the actor requested people to remember the families and children who are being displaced due to violence and insecurity, stressing that many are forced to sleep in forests under terrible and terrifying conditions.

He described parents living in fear and mothers struggling desperately to safeguard their children during the crisis.

Kunle Remi also questioned why political campaigns and election activities continue as if everything is normal considering the disasters that have occurred around the country.

He critiqued society’s increasing tendency to move on fast from unpleasant situations without expressing empathy or outrage.

The actor closed by advising against growing emotionally numb to violence and suffering, stating that Nigerians must never become so accustomed to tragedy that they lose compassion for the victims.
