Media personality D English Alhaji has expressed concern about Nigeria’s growing insecurity, claiming that attacks are spreading and that no area in the nation is safe anymore.
He asserted that citizens are now vulnerable to danger at any time of day in a widely shared video on X (previously Twitter), emphasising that insecurity has grown more aggressive and unpredictable.
“Nigerians, it is getting worse. As it stands right now, nobody is safe in this country. No minute is safe. No time is safe. No day is safe. In the morning, afternoon, night they can attack you,” he said.
He claims that armed bandits assaulted a drilling firm in Magun, a locality under the Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State, on June 8, 2026, between 3 and 4 p.m.
He claimed that during the operation, the attackers broke into the Chinese-owned building, killed a soldier who was on duty, and kidnapped some employees.
The fact that the crime took place in broad daylight, according to D English Alhaji, emphasises how brazen the assailants have recently become.
“They don’t enter West. Fully, they don’t enter. We’ve been shouting this thing, people were saying it’s only happening in the North. Now it is now in the West,” he said.
He said that the attackers allegedly came across a group of military personnel while trying to flee, which resulted in a gunfight.
Before the attackers left the site, he said, there were casualties.
Nigerians’ concerns about the rise of insecurity around the nation, particularly in the South-West, have sparked a number of online replies.
