A Nigerian man, David Aondofa, has gifted his uncle a newly built house in appreciation of the support and accommodation he received when he first moved to Makurdi, Benue State.

Sharing photos of the completed building in a Facebook post on Thursday, June 18, 2026, David expressed gratitude to his uncle for his kindness and generosity over the years.

He noted that his uncle welcomed and treated him well when he arrived in Makurdi, describing him as different from “other older brothers.”

The gesture has attracted praise online, with many commending David for showing appreciation and giving back to a family member who supported him during a crucial period of his life.

“This is my gift to the family of David Jija, my uncle, the man who accommodated me when I first came to Makurdi,” he wrote.

“This is appreciation to you sir. I am grateful that you did not discriminate me like other older brothers.

“I don’t have much but this is my own little way of saying thank you. I know now you have retired from work you will be collecting rent and be taking care of yourself. Once again I am grateful sir. Thank you so much.”
