Nigerian human rights activist Israel Joe has called out a married woman identified as Asagba Enibaby Shontelle over an alleged a$$ault incident in Warri.

According to reports, the woman allegedly used a razor blade to severely injure the face and body of a young lady over suspicions that the victim was romantically involved with her husband. The allegations remain unverified.

In a Facebook post shared on Friday, May 22, 2026, Israel Joe stated that the suspect had already been taken into police custody in Warri.

The activist also accused the woman and her family of allegedly attempting to influence the case in order to secure her bail, adding that he would ensure the matter is fully prosecuted in court.
