NDC Spokesman Reacts as Amaechi Tells Sowore to Shut His Mouth During a Debate at the NBA Conference

Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) spokesman Theo Abu Agada has responded to a remark made by ADC vice presidential candidate Rotimi Amaechi against AAC presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore.

On Monday, August 24, 2026, the NDC spokesman posted this on his official X account.

During a dispute about the withdrawal of gasoline subsidies at the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA Conference in Rivers state, Omoyele Sowore was instructed by Rotimi Amaechi to be quiet.

But now that the post has gone viral, Theo Abu Agada has spoken out. He made it clear on his official X account that he felt Rotimi Amaechi was wrong to treat the AAC presidential candidate with contempt.

“Amaechi shouldn’t have disrespected Sowore the way he did,” Theo Abu Agada said on his official X handle. This sort of thing shouldn’t be encouraged.
