A young lady has sparked online discussion by revealing how a brief talking stage ended abruptly following a series of personal questions she asked a potential partner.
After five days of conversation, the Lady began asking important questions about her future plans.
She explained that the conversation had already become serious after the man openly discussed marriage.
“I was just asking him that ‘do you have any criminal record, or are you on any medication presently. Do your family have any illness?’” she said.
She explained that her intention was not to offend him, but rather to protect herself from future regret. “I’m only asking for my own sake,” she explained.
The way you are being so serious during the talking stage, you are saying you want to marry me.”
According to her, the man reacted negatively and asked why she was asking such questions. “He said, ‘Why should I be asking him all these questions? These questions are weird,'” she recalled.
The woman said she tried to calm the situation and explain her reasoning. “I need to get to know so that I know the type of family I’m bringing kids to,” she said. “I don’t want a situation where my kids will blame me in the future.”
She also revealed that her past experiences influenced her caution. “I am already having a lot that I’m blaming myself for and I’m atoning for,” she added. “So I don’t want any other issues.”
The situation reportedly escalated when the man accused her of asking too many questions and mocked her background. “He said my own too much, how many school I go where I just dey ask ask ask,” she said.
Shortly after the exchange, the man blocked her, effectively ending the talking stage.
