Many Nigerians were moved by Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s heartfelt birthday letter to his wife, Pastor Foluke Adeboye, on her 78th birthday.

Reflecting on their 58 years of marriage, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) shared the touching tribute on social media, calling the occasion as a chance for the world to honour the woman who has steadfastly supported him.

Pastor Adeboye wrote, “Great has been the journey of walking side by side with you. And so today, on your 78th birthday, is a gift to me, to have the world join me in doing what I have spent 58 years doing: celebrating you.”

The famous preacher said that his wife’s constant support had made life’s challenges easier to handle, praising her for being a loyal companion throughout their marriage and ministry.

He added, “My path shines brighter because I walk it with you.”

Additionally, Pastor Adeboye said that his wife is more than just the person that many refer to as “Mummy G.O.” He said that he has had the honour of knowing her as his wife, friend, and dependable companion through all of his struggles and triumphs.

The RCCG leader honoured his wife’s sacrifices and devotion to God in another section of his tribute, stating that her devoted service has improved many households and strengthened their family.

Praying for her continued health and strength, he said, “May the God whom you have served so faithfully continue to uphold you… May the years ahead be even more fruitful than those behind.”
