Miss Sandra has gone viral after describing an extraordinary incident with a man she met on TikTok, who supposedly gifted her a car just two weeks after they started talking.
Sandra revealed in a social media video that she met the man on TikTok and the two quickly became friends.
She described their chats as casual, with the man occasionally grumbling about how far she lived from him.
She remembered that during one of their chats, he enquired why she didn’t have a car.
“He asked me, ‘Why don’t you have a car?’ I told him it’s not as if you can just walk into a shop and say, ‘Give me a car.’ We both laughed about it.”
The subject resurfaced, according to Sandra, after she had financial difficulties that necessitated her visiting her bank office in Utako, Abuja, which she characterised as being distant from her home.
She clarified that she joked that she needed a car after seeing how much a ride would cost—nearly ₦13,000.
“He asked if I wanted a car. I jokingly replied that if someone gave me one, I would collect it. We laughed because I thought he was joking.”
According to her, two days later, the man unexpectedly called and asked what type of car she wanted.
“I told him I don’t know much about cars, so any car would be fine. We both laughed again because I still believed he wasn’t serious.”
Sandra said the situation took a surprising turn when the man later requested her home address, saying he wanted to send her something.
She assumed it would be a small gift, especially since she had previously mentioned her love for doughnuts and ice cream.
Instead, she said a delivery agent arrived at her residence with a vehicle.
She acknowledged that she was first thrilled and appreciative, even starting the car to listen to the engine before expressing gratitude to the sender.
But as she told her friends and family about the present, the thrill faded.
Sandra claimed that because she hardly knew the man, one of her friends told her to return the car right away. The same advice was given by her mother and siblings, who advised her against accepting such a costly present from someone she had just known for two weeks.
She disclosed that she later gave the man a call to thank him and explain that she didn’t feel comfortable taking the car.
“I told him I really appreciate the gift, but it’s too much. We just met, and we’re not even officially dating.”
According to Sandra, the man responded by saying he was not interested in dating because his intention was to marry her.Violence & Abuse
“He told me he wants to marry me and that even if it takes time to know me properly, he is willing to wait.”
The revelation left Sandra even more conflicted. While one of her friends insisted she should keep the car, another maintained that she should return it. Her mother and siblings also advised her to decline the gift.
Ending her video, Sandra admitted she was both excited and confused, asking social media users for advice.
“Right now, I’m so confused, but at the same time, I’m happy. What do you guys think? Should I return it or should I keep it?”
