Raheem Okoya, the son of Nigerian millionaire Razaq Okoya, shocked many Nigerians by disclosing some shocking information regarding his father’s private life.
The billionaire has 26 children with nine different women, according to Raheem, who called his father a “striker” in a widely shared viral video.
He also disclosed where he is in the family hierarchy, stating that the oldest child is almost 60 years old and he is the 23rd child.
“My dad is a striker. He has 26 kids with 9 different baby mamas. I’m the 23rd among them. The firstborn is around 60 years old,” he said.
Since then, the disclosure has generated conflicting responses. While some Nigerians have expressed surprise at the size of the family, others have commended the billionaire for his ability to provide for his kids. The Okoya family has already been in the news for other reasons.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) summoned Razaq Okoya’s sons, Wahab and Subomi, last year after they were captured on camera showering naira notes in a widely shared video.
Section 21(3) of the Central Bank of Nigeria Act, 2007 was allegedly broken in the video when the brothers flung money around while a police officer held bundles of cash.
Both their business empire and their well-publicized personal lives continue to draw attention to the Okoya family.
