A court in Italy has ordered a woman to pay compensation to the wife and children of a man who d!ed during a bondage s3x act in 2016.

According to reports, the incident happened in a loft apartment in Alessandria, where the 61-year-old man reportedly suffocated during the encounter. Emergency responders were called to the scene but were unable to save him.

Following a lengthy legal battle lasting nearly a decade, the civil court ruled that the deceased had willingly participated in the activity and was therefore partly responsible for his own d3ath. Judges reportedly assigned 60 percent responsibility to the victim and 40 percent to the woman involved.

Based on that ruling, the woman was ordered to pay about €450,000 (approximately £390,000) in compensation to the man’s wife and three children, even though the family’s original compensation claim was valued at over €1 million.

The woman had previously been convicted in a cr!minal case of negligent h0micide and received a one-year prison sentence. During proceedings, the court heard that the pair had allegedly engaged in similar bondage practices on previous occasions.

The latest ruling concludes the long-running civil case connected to the fatal incident.
