The body of missing American politician Barry Christian has reportedly been found inside a truck in rural Oklahoma.

Christian, a 54-year-old Republican candidate for District 38, had been missing since Tuesday after failing to attend a scheduled meeting, according to reports.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation confirmed that a 2024 charcoal gray Ram truck believed to belong to Christian was discovered near Highway 30, south of Erick, with a body inside.

Authorities said the vehicle was located near a ravine close to the Sandy Sanders Wildlife Management Area. Due to the difficult terrain, officials reportedly faced challenges recovering the body immediately, delaying formal identification.

Investigators have not yet disclosed the circumstances surrounding the d3ath, and the case remains under investigation.

Before his disappearance, Christian had made a Facebook post inviting residents to attend a meet-and-greet event at the Mangum Oklahoma Rattlesnake Festival to discuss community issues and local concerns.
