A mother of five and married woman has d!ed at her male friend Lucky Isuma’s home in the Sabon Gari neighborhood of Kano.

Sandra, the deceased, was confirmed d3ad on April 11, 2026, at No. 47 Aitken Road, Sabon Gari. She was reportedly from Abia State.

According to an unverified report from neighbors, she had asked for food prior to her d3ath, and her male friend had gone to get it when she d!ed.

The suspect has been taken into custody, according to Kano State Police Command spokesperson CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who verified the incident.

“On 11th April 2026, at about 1030hrs, one Chidera Nwobi, male, aged 22, of No. 47 Aitken Road, Sabon Gari, reported at Sabon Gari Police Division that at about 1000hrs of the same date, he found that a female adult, approximately 30 years old, lying unconscious and motionless on a bed inside the room of his neighbour, one Lucky Isuma, male, aged 41, of the same address,” the PPRO stated.

He said that detectives were immediately dispatched to the scene of the incident.

“The victim was photographed and no visible marks of vi0lence were observed on her body.”

Kiyawa added that she was promptly evacuated to Muhammadu Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital for medical examination, where she was confirmed d3ad by a medical doctor.

“The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for discreet investigation,” he stated. 

“The Command assures the public that a thorough investigation will be conducted to unravel the circumstances surrounding the d3ath. The outcome of the investigation will be made public in due course.”
