A young man in Eket is reportedly suffering from severe injuries after being gang-beaten by his fiancée and four of her pals during a tumultuous romantic triangle.
He was a young man, perhaps in his early twenties, who had been seeing a young woman while also having an affair with one of her close friends.
His main girlfriend allegedly started trouble after returning home from a trip for celebrations and learning that her partner had been seeing her buddy.
Infuriated and offended, she allegedly planned to set him up and give him a rough lesson, recruiting four of her pals to carry out the assault.
The event, which was caused by personal disputes resulting from the complex connections, reportedly left the young man seriously injured.
