Man allegedly st@bs friend to d3ath in Delta community

A man has allegedly stabbed his friend to d3ath in Agbor, located in the Delta State Ika South Local Government Area.

According to reports by Ika Newspaper, the incident followed a vi0lent confrontation reportedly involving suspected members of rival cult groups.

The clash reportedly occurred late on Sunday, May 3, around Ime-Obi Junction in Agbor and involved suspected members of a confraternity. Eyewitnesses claimed the confrontation began from a minor disagreement before escalating into violence.

During the altercation, a man identified as Marvin was alleged to have stabbed another individual known as “40” on the hand, while a third person identified as Owen reportedly sustained a severe st@b wound before attempting to flee the scene.

Sources said Owen later d!ed while being rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Residents familiar with those involved reportedly described them as close friends, sparking concerns that the tragedy could have been avoided.

The incident has heightened tension within the community, with fears of possible reprisal att@cks and further vi0lence between rival groups. Residents have been urged to remain vigilant and avoid actions that could worsen the situation.

Meanwhile, angry youths reportedly set the alleged suspect Marvin’s family house on fire shortly after news of the incident spread.

As of the time of reporting, security authorities had not officially confirmed any arrest or released a formal statement regarding the incident.
