Due to accusations of harassing and extorting young people in the state, the Lagos Police Command has detained a few officers.

A video that has gone viral on social media shows some of the command’s police officers trying to take a young man’s phone during a stop and search.

One of the young men was seen on camera straining to take his phone away from an officer.

The command said in a statement that complaints and supporting evidence of the officers’ misconduct led to the officers’ arrest.
According to the statement, additional investigations are being conducted while the impacted staff members are undergoing an orderly room trial.
